Changing Frequency for Satellite Dish

⚠ Halo and Aura Notice

UEC Halo and Aura dishes use a set satellite frequency and GPS to find and align with satellites. That frequency has recently changed, so the dish can’t align properly. To fix this, you’ll need to update the system with a new reference frequency. Follow the steps below or contact UEC Support.

How to change the vertical and horizontal frequency on Halo and Aura automatic satellite dishes.

  1. Power up your Halo / Aura dish by turning the power switch on.
  2. Once the display shows sleep press the “MENU” button once.
  3. Now press the “NEXT” button to go to “SETUP MODE ?”
  4. Press the “YES” button to enter “SETUP MODE ?”
  5. Press the “MODIFY” button once to enter adjust mode. The password is 168168.
  6. Use the MODIFY “+” and “-“ buttons to go back and forward through the digit locations. Use the ENTER “+” and “-“ buttons to increment or decrement the numbers at that position until you have 168168 entered as the password.
  7. Press the function button once. The function button is the button furthest to the right of the screen.
  8. Now press the “NEXT” button until you get to “EDIT SAT INFO ?” and press the “YES” button.
  9. Press the “CHANGE” button once and then press the “+” button until you get to “OPTUS C1/D3 156.0E” then press the “ENTER” button once.
  10. Press the “NEXT” button until you get to VER: and now use the MODIFY “+” and “-“ and ENTER “+” and “-“ buttons to change the current settings to these values: 12647 30000.
  11. Now press the function button once then the “ NEXT” button once to go to HOR: and now use the MODIFY “+” and “-“ and ENTER “+” and “-“ buttons to change the current settings to these values: 12478 27800.
  12. Once both values are entered correctly press the function button twice and then select the “YES” button to save changes. Then press the function button twice to exit out to the main screen and then for the HALO Auto Dish press the power button on the white control panel to deploy the dish and for the AURA Auto Dish press the Search button on the black control panel to deploy the dish.
